Learn how to apply smoothing to your bitmap images to prevent pixelated edges in externally loaded and imported images or pictures.

I wrote 2 programs: one is a Spin/ML combo that loads sequential bitmaps off the SD card and converts each frame to fit in the Propeller's screen memory. Then each frame is written to a large, single file on the second SD card. These files are arranged in the same format as the Propeller screen memory, so after conversion, they can be loaded in and played very quickly. This could be used for a pinball display, with animations of equal or likely greater value than existing DMD's.

Phase 2 of the Pyxis OS is finally here, and I don't mind saying I'm more than just a little excited. Overall system speed is over 15x faster than Phase 1! Reads are now 100% reliable, no more bugs! This version also preallocates a massive buffer to be used for writes on the uSD. In the video you'll see a large text file being read and a true 32 bits per pixel bitmap file being rendered @ 320x240 (full screen QVGA)!
